Spicy Roast Turkey
Ingredients:
4 pound - frozen boneless turkey thawed
8 cloves - garlic
1 inch - ginger
3 tbsp - cilantro & mint
1 tsp - paprika
1 tbsp - pepper
1 tsp - turmeric powder
2 tbsp - olive oil
1 tbsp - lemon juice (optional)
1 tsp - salt

Spicy Roast Turkey


Method

  1. In a food processor, combine garlic, ginger, cilnatro, mint, pepper and salt, turn the motor on and add oil until garlic is coarsely chopped.
  2. Preheat oven to 350eF.
  3. Spray a roasting pan and rack with non-stick vegetable spray.
  4. Spread half the garlic mixture over the inside of the turkey.
  5. Reroll. Tie firmly with string ever 2-inches.
  6. Spread remaining garlic & turmeric powder mixture over the turkey.
  7. Place on rack in roasting pan.
  8. Roast 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until a meat thermometer inserted in the center registers 170eF.
  9. Remove from oven.
  10. Let stand for 20 minutes before removing string.
  11. Cut into thin slices to serve.
  12. Spoon pan juices over the turkey.
  13. Serve with fried onions.
