Raw Jackfruit Cutlet
Ingredients:
1 no. medium-sized raw jackfruit
1 tbsp. bengalgram flour (besan)
1 no. medium onion chopped
6 nos. green chillies chopped
1 bunch of coriander leaves chopped
1 bunch of mint leaves chopped
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tsp. red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Raw Jackfruit Cutlet


Method

  1. Remove the skin of the jackfruit and cut it into large pieces.
  2. Boil the pieces adding salt and turmeric pwd. for 10 min.
  3. Take out the boiled pieces from water and smash them.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients (except oil), mix well and knead into a soft dough using water.
  5. Divide into balls, flatten into rounds and fry in oil.
  6. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
  7. Note :
  8. This recipe can be made more spicy according to one's taste buds by adding more of green chillies.
