Quick Daal
Ingredients:
2 tbps of tur dal
2 tbsps of udad dal
2 tbps of moong dal
2 tbsps of udad dal
2 pieces of garlic
1 tsp of cumin seeds (jeera)
a few curry leaves
salt for taste
1/4 tsp turmeric
1' ginger piece cut into small pieces
1 green chilli slit into two
2 tsps ghee
chopped coriander leaves
juice of one lemon

Quick Daal


Method

  1. Pressure cook all the daal together. Remove and churn it using buttermilk churner.
  2. In a hard bottomed pan, pour ghee, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and chilli pieces.
  3. Add the cooked daal, salt and turmeric. Cook till the daal starts to boil. Add water if the consistency is too thick.
  4. Remove from flame and add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice.
