Egg Onion Float
Ingredients:
4 eggs
2 chopped tomatoes/ half can tomato puree
2 large onions finely chopped
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp dhania-jeera powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
cilantro grated cheese for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Heat oil. On medium heat, fry onions, ginger-garlic paste, masala powders for 2 minutes.
  2. Add tomato puree , ketchup salt and fry for 2 minutes more.
  3. Pat down this mixture on the pan. Make four wells at the four corners.
  4. Break one egg into each of the wells. Garnish with grated cheese, chopped cilantro, salt and pepper.
  5. Cover the pan and cook on slow heat till the eggs set.
  6. Serve with buttered bread.
